These shimmer-fresco pieces bear inscriptions of verses by Indian women mystic poets, Gangadevi (C13th) and Lal Ded (C14th). Ranna has also completed in 2001 the sutras of the Genjokoan (Zen Buddhist text) as a series of shimmering inscriptions on fresco tablets, like those illustrated above.
